FIFA BEACH SOCCER WORLD CUP DUBAI 2009

Gulf Arena was the main contractor and proud provider of temporary seating structures, event infrastructure, marquees, lighting, sound and audio visual for the fifth edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Located on a site covering approximately 30,000 sq metres this year’s World Cup was the largest ever beach event to be held in Dubai. It was also the first time in the event’s history that games were played on two separate pitches: the main pitch with a capacity of 5,000 including 750 VIP seats and the second pitch with a capacity of 2,000. The innovative sun shade structure used on the main pitch was custom designed and bought in from Europe to complement the Dubai inspired stadium entrance design.
